As you take that first sip, remember that two more American boys will not wake up and fifteen more American boys won’t be feeling so well with missing limbs and horrible injures and don’t even think about the hundreds of America boys that each day will be mentally traumatized by the sight of their friend’s violent deaths. Have a nice day, enjoy that next sip of java.

This simply boggles my mind that some people seem to believe that it is more important to kill people than to be honest and supportive of our rights under the Constitution of the United States. Freedom of Speech!!!! Say it LOUD and CLEAR. THIS WAR SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring these kids fighting for greater access to oil home. ENOUGH LIES!!!!!

It is time for all America citizens to unite and stop the murder of our young people.

Learn the FACTS and take a STAND and VOTE – This is what all Americans must do.

FACT: As of September 7th, 2004, one-thousand American’s have given their lives in Iraq and about 7,000 Americans have given pieces of their bodies.

Who knows how many tens of thousands are or will be permanently, mentally scarred from the reality of having to kill other people and having to see their friends blown apart?

Yes, the 1,000 Dead signed up and agreed to fight. Should we stop thinking at this point? “Sorry Charlie, you wanted the benefits, too bad you had to pay the ultimate price.” Does this sum it up for you?

FACT: The truth is that our young people only understand virtual reality wars like those played on the computer. War is something that we win and the evil, “freedom-haters” lose. During the recruitment process; young men and women never have to see or taste blood or hear the final cries of other human beings as they die in agony. They never have to sit for hours in the desert weighted with heavy gear, while the enemy, who wears no uniform and looks like everyone else in the street, takes “pot shots” at them. Our young people have no concept of the Muslim religion or of the Iraqi culture; they do not understand the Arabic language. Do you really think our young recruits have a sufficient understanding of what they are getting themselves into when they join the military today?

FACT: When you ask typical front-line grunts why they joined the military, you will find they did so in return for decent job opportunities, worldly adventures, to have financial support for college, and a means to become a successful, independent adults.

Yes, many rose to the call for justice when 3,000 of our brothers and sisters were killed by religious fanatics from Saudi Arabia. Citizens who truly love America want to defend it in any way possible. Using the lies of Iraqi involvement in 9/11 or stockpiles of “weapons of mass destruction” is in effect, the absolutely lowest form of hatred against the poor and working people in this country.

STAND: The people who trust in their politicians and journalists to tell them the whole truth should not be treated as ignorant fools who can take the bullets and bombs for the rest of us. The only weapons I fear are the weapons of mass media, the so-called “news people,” that say a lot of words; but, teach us nothing. The only terrorists I fear are corrupt politicians, their lawyers, analysts and speechwriters who spin everything to maximize the division between our people for the sole purpose of personal advancement. They do whatever is best for the corporations they serve and will be employed by after their terms run out.

I have absolutely nothing to fear except those who continue to spread lies, fear and hatred throughout our land.

FACT: Politicians and the military recruiters are nothing more than greedy car salespeople who sell voters and children on all the shiny accessories and costly leases with low monthly payments without mentioning the ultimate price, your future (just like the leased car) probably won’t be yours to keep unless you read between the lines.

FACT: Americans under forty-five years of age have not experienced the days when America had hundreds of local media outlets, where serious and objective journalists were allowed to exercise our Constitutional Right to the Freedom of Speech. The Vietnam War was on TV every day and we saw what war did to human beings, homes, and our fellow American brothers. If you see the blood and guts, the sadness of the wives and children, and the masses of people marching; you just can’t support foreign war for very long. This is why we don’t see what is real in the world anymore.

FACT: Today, the vast majority of everything we see on TV and hear on the radio is controlled by seven global corporations. These corporations are closely tied to the Federal Government and, as such, are nearly totally unregulated oligopolies. Today, war is some abstract concept that involves high tech weapons that never have a blood stain on them. It is easy for millions of our fellow Americans to lose sight of the reality of war. We only hear and see upbeat patriotic messages. All of the blood and sadness is “filtered” out by the corporate media.

FACT: Did you know Colin Powell’s son, Michael Powell, is the Chairman of the F.C.C.? Colin Powell is the U.S. Secretary of State. How many other father and son leadership posts do we need before we realize it is no different than the “mafia style” of running the family business? The difference is that the family business is the United States of America.

FACT: Our current troop strength of 125,000 in Iraq is insufficient to control a country the size of California of over 20 million people, especially with a vigorously divided citizenry who follow the directions of religious clerics instead of some separate democratic form of government installed by strangers. Stabilization and sufficient rebuilding of the Iraqi infrastructure will take a minimum of ten more years and our active duty and reserve troop base will need to be replenished. Fresh bodies will be needed to carry out the mission; interestingly, a weak job economy is the best way to ensure easy recruiting.

If you have a loved one between the ages of 12 and 25, and the economy truly grows substantially, they have a good chance of being drafted within the next five years. If you are between 18 and 25, you must be registered for Selective Service which is the precursor to the draft. Once the draft is reinstated, men can be called up for duty at any age and Congress is certain to include women this time. Are you ready to go fight the people who we are supposed to be liberating? We have captured the evil dictator: Shouldn’t we let the people who live in Iraq decide how to run their own country now?

FACT: 1,000 caskets have come home. How many more Americans must die before you think it is time to stop?

STAND: It doesn’t matter if you call yourself a Liberal or a Conservative; a Democrat or a Republican; a Christian, Muslim, Agnostic, or Atheist; when we are talking about our brothers and sisters who find themselves in a foreign war zone. If we are to be “United” in any way, shape, or form in America, the preservation of our peoples lives must be the place where the political fight stops and we stand together as “one nation under god, indivisible, with justice for all. If we cannot do this, we might as well stop calling ourselves the United States of America.

STAND: Together, we must demand an international force replace the bulk of our troops and the world to help us pay for the rebuilding of an entire country, a country that happens to have the second largest oil reserve on earth and is worth trillions of dollars! Iraqi oil will bring great wealth to those who buy and sell it, oil paid for with the lives of many innocent people that just happened to be born in the wrong place and the wrong time.

STAND: Together, we must demand a permanent ban on preemptive strikes. Leading our nation to believe it was best to attack a small defenseless country out of fear of another 9/11 was a low point in the history of our country. We will not be allowed to forget this action in our lifetime.

Are you really afraid of terrorists or have you been taught to fear what is totally unknown to you?

Have you any responsibility as an American citizen sitting home by your TV sipping wine or beer with a steak on the BBQ while an American child of eighteen and an Iraqi child of twelve cries out for their mothers as their hearts take final beats on a dusty desert road?

FACT: Our identity as a super power killing thousands of foreigners in a small impoverished land does not cause those who hate us to stop hating us. Look at Israel and Palestine, they both continue to launch attacks on one another, they both continue to fear and hate one another. They look and sound the same way today as they did fifty years ago and unless they put down the swords and fairly share the land and resources, this will go on until Israel uses a USA supported nuclear bomb to completely annihilate the Palestinians.

STAND: I can not sit here anymore and pretend that life is good when, for so many, life is hell. They suffer only because the masses, like me, do nothing but sit and listen to the sickening, politically devised, corporate mass media propagated anger, fear, and hatred that split us into two philosophically opposing camps. This is a division that cannot be bridged without the sharing of all of the facts. Our politicians and news media must be totally truthful and objective. Otherwise, there is no hope for the poor and working people. Our collective wealth and power will fall and fall as we fight with each other over misleading propaganda and religious beliefs which are not the things the CEOs and politicians care about. Those in power sell and pollute our natural resources and allow corporations to encourage globalization, implement tax cuts to the rich (who live off dividends and capital gains and not on paychecks), reduce social services that go to poor children, the handicapped, and the poor elderly, and drive up the national debt.

FACT: Using God and religion as a means to support a political party has now reached frightening levels. It is bad enough to support a mind set that suggests that God blesses America over the other 191 man-made countries on this planet, yet alone believe that God blesses one political party more than another.

This “circus of confusion” effectively renders us powerless and allows the greedy and corrupt to continue on their path of destroying the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, the one document that broke down the monarchy and separated Church and State. These documents finally allowed the common people to share in the national wealth and take control of the decision making process. Isn’t this what everyone wants: A fair piece of the pie and a say in what direction our country, states, and local governments are heading?

FACT: Today, we have a President who is the son of a past President. This is exactly what drove Americans to fight the ever corrupt succession of Kings. Today, most people have not studied enough history, law, politics, and statistics to have a remote chance of understanding what is happening. We just turn on the news and believe we are actually learning something from biased, edited, sound bites with no follow up. We hear the politicians passionately yell out shallow promises without any explanation as to how any of the promises can happen under our current form of government. Ours is a government where our elected leaders are only doing what is best to get reelected. What is most likely to get a politician reelected is directly related to how much hard and soft money they can raise from corporations that only have their self interest at heart. Maximum profit, minimum cost, executive compensation and stock-holder wealth are all that matter to corporations. Corporations are not driven to improve the lives of American workers and communities.

FACT: Our lives can only be improved if we have more opportunities to work, greater incomes, and access to a wide-variety of competing goods and services. Sending jobs overseas, reducing wages, hiring temporary workers, eliminating or making health benefits too costly, allowing global corporations to form oligopolies, and allowing mass media entertainers to spread lies, all effectively destroy America and it is time we understood this reality.

FACT: Over 131 billion dollars ($131,000,000,000.00) has been spent so far on the war in Iraq. That is $1,310 for each full-time worker in this country and the cost is entirely debt in the name of the citizens of the USA. Only massive cuts in social programs and increased taxes on our already pathetically low and frozen payroll will ever be used to pay this debt.

STAND: We must demand that those enjoying great wealth in this country pay a larger share back to America and save working people from this burden.

FINAL STAND: The first 1,000 of our children have died for you and me and it is time we rise up and vote the war mongers and nation killers out of office regardless of what party they claim to represent.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing"
